| Carpentry is a skill that you can become very good at very quickly, if you know the tricks that will boost the performance.
First of all, speed. If you can put the pieces in fast and think ahead to your next move, then you can keep the hammer one below shiny.
Second, 2 pieces left. When it gets down to the last two peices you want to try and make yourself holes that have several diferent ways to finish, including ones with two common pieces. You should try and visualise all the ways in which a hole can be finished. Check out the "Piece rarity" tip in the carpentry puzzle to find out the most effective ways. This will greatly boost your masterpeice count.
Third, stalling. If you get one of the pieces that you need for your 2-piece hole, then don't put it in immediately, wait until you have the other piece, or the last piece you put in the hole starts shaking.
Fourth, Masterpiece chains. Masterpiece chains are what separate the best from the rest, anything up from Masterpeise 5 or so makes a huge difference to the duty hammer, and if you can finish them quickly and with a few grain bonuses, the duty report is quite likely to be incredible.

I hope this is of a help to someone, and if you have anything you think ought to be added, post it.

| if u have a two piece hole that can be finished in more ways then one, keep in mind the many ways that it can be finished, try saving ur time for the more rare pieces so u can use the more common ones to finish others. 8/10 u will need a more common piece to finsh ur holes. | |
